Dear Colleagues,

Together with the Malmö University I am pleased to announce the organization of our 1st Swedish RefWorks User Group to be held at the Malmö University on the 8th of November.
 
A discussion group will take place on the morning of Thursday 8th followed by a RefWorks update session hosted by our RefWorks Trainer for Sweden, Michele Walker in the afternoon from 2 PM – 3 30 PM. Michele Walker is a very experienced librarian and has worked at Cessnock City Library and Hunter Institute of Technology and also worked in various libraries at the University of Oxford. She has broad experience training librarians and end users on a whole range of information services. 
 
This meeting is for all of our Swedish customers, but also provides a good opportunity for other interested colleagues to learn about RefWorks at first-hand. 
 
The first Swedish User Group Meeting is the next step in creating a worldwide RefWorks community allowing our users to share and communicate with their counterparts. 
The list-serve launched last August was the first step in this approach, which allows administrators of RefWorks to sign up. As updates of RefWorks are based upon our users’ suggestions, this user group is designed to create greater interaction.
 
The title of Michele’s 1 1/2 hour session is “2007 Review: New Features and Upgrades” and it will be a very interactive event. We will present an overview of new features and services and there will a chance to ask questions and give comments.
