På Blekinge Tekniska Högskola har vi fått finansiering för en förstudie för
att utveckla ett antal kortare distanskurser på engelska med ramnamnet ”
Developing Information Skills in the Digital World ”. Målgruppen är
bibliotekarier, lärare och andra informationsspecialister samt lärare och
högskolestudenter i länder som försöker uppgradera sin
informationskompetens tekniskt och metodologiskt (ex. Baltikum, Ryssland,
länder i Afrika etc). Men vi tror att kurserna kan vara användbara också
för yrkesverksamma inom informationsområdet i Sverige.
Med den här notisen hoppas jag att ni där ute på Biblist som har kontakter
med kollegor/organisationer etc. i utlandet ber dem lägga ut nedanstående
information på de mailinglistor eller andra kommunikationskanaler de har
tillgång till som kan vara relevanta i sammanhanget.

Help us develop distance courses for Information Skills in the Digital
World!
The Library at Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden, has received seed
money to develop a set of shorter 100% net-based distance courses in
English. In order to develop courses that are attractive we are now, in a
prepatory phase, sending out a short questionnaire to find out if our ideas
are attractive for target groups, like information professionals, teachers,
etc.
The 10-credit distance course "Developing Information Skills in the Digital
World" will be given in English and concists of 5 separate 2-credit
courses. There are no tuition fees!
