Dear colleagues,
my name is Angela Iuliana Marcu and I am reference librarian at the
University Library of Cluj,  Romania. I am looking for an agreement
with  a  western european library  where I would have the possibility to
see and practise reference services for a period of two weeks, anytime
after 1 September 2002.

For my project I expect a grant from ACRL - Martinus Nijhoff
International West European Specialist Study Grant sponsored by Swets
Blackwell. This grant would be sufficient for transportation, lodging
and board for fourteen consecutive days. So, I only expect  to find a
library which might host me on a placement.

The  constant care  for me is to promote an efficient reference service
in our library. Last year I published a work : Noi tendinte in
serviciile de referinte din biblioteci (New trends in library reference
services).  I  read a lot of articles about theory and practice  in
American reference services. I initiated an e-mail reference service  in
our library in January this year, where  I answer to reference
questions  asked by remote users from Romania and abroad. I would like
to mention that this would be my first travel in Western  Europe.

Anybody have the possibility to help me ?
