Dear Religious Studies colleagues:

I am pleased to let you know that Victoria University of Wellington is now advertising a permanent position in Religious Studies:

The closing date for applications is 15 April 2019, and preferred commencement is from July 2019.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in Religious Studies or a related discipline, demonstrated excellence in teaching, commitment to public engagement, a developing research profile, and facility in relevant languages. The successful applicant will have expertise in contemporary issues in religion. The area of research specialisation is open, but preference may be given to applicants with expertise in the Asia-Pacific region. Teaching duties include contributing to introductory and upper level courses, and the successful candidate is expected to supervise MA and PhD research on a broad range of topics relevant to the position.
